Kazhcha - 2004
(The Vision)

Madhavan is a 16 mm film operator showing films around the countryside. One day he comes across Pawan, a little orphan whose language he could not understand. The kind-hearted Madhavan takes care of him and takes him to his house. With his endearing way Pawan soon becomes the darling of Madhavan and his family. It transpires that he is the victim of the devastating Gujarat earthquake. Gradually, the barriers of language pose no problem to human communication and strong bonds emerge between the alien kind and the villagers. The search for his parents and place take Madhavan a weird journey, which unmasks the inhumanity of society that engulfs him, where love and care are meaningless.

Thanmatra - 2005

Thanmatra is essentially the story of an ordinary middle-class family. The ambition and goal of the family is to give a good education to the two children, with the immediate focus being to make the teenage son an IAS officer. The father, a government servant, is a role model for all parents. The peaceful existence of this beautiful family with strong values is suddenly upset by Alzheimer's disease, which affects the father who is the mainstay of the family. From here on, the story revolves around how the son rises to the occasion who is ably supported by his mother who silently but courageously stands by him through all the adversities to help him face the challenges.

The film also revolves around the trauma of dealing with an illness like Alzheimer's especially when it affects the sole breadwinner of an ordinary middle class family.

Thanmatra won State award for the best film and Blessy won the State awards for best director and screenplay writer for the year 2005.

Palunku - 2006

Monichan, an industrious farmer lives happily with his wife and two daughters, loving his profession, nature and the people around him. Monichan is forced to take his daughters to an English medium school in town, as the village school couldn't accommodate his daughters there. He brings the children to the school every morning and hangs around in town till evening to take them back. In the meantime Monichan joins a class conducted for elders and starts learning to read and write Malayalam as well as English. A minor accident makes him shift over to the town along with his family.

Once in town, Monichan finds himself entrapped in a vicious circle. He with all help from Soman Pillai, a shrewd lottery agent, begins to tread on the wrong path, lending out money, and doing things not entirely above board. His life changes slowly. He is no more the naive farmer he used to be. Even his wife has changed. She spends her time watching soaps on TV and dreaming about modern household amenities. But fate has something else in store for them.

Calcutta News - 2008

The film is set across the eastern metropolis, Kolkotta. The film focuses on the happenings that take place in the span of one year in the life of a television journalist, Ajith, who is working for a chennel called ‘Kolkata News’.

One day while investigating a story, Ajith comes across Krishnapriya's pictures while going through some unused footage. She is a woman who lost her husband in mysterious circumstances, a few weeks after her marriage. Krishnapriya, who had come to the city with her husband, Hari, is now left all alone and is searching for her husband with her limited resources. Days after Ajith meet Krishnapriya, accidentally, and find out that she was a school dropout, who was forced into marriage at a tender age and sent to Calcutta. Seeing the grief of the lady, Ajith takes the cause as his own and starts to search for Hari with his wide media contacts. But he only realized later that slowly, he is falling in love with the true- blue, desolate women.

Bhramaram - 2009
(The Beatle)

Unni is a share broker in Coimbatore and leads a comfortable life with his family. Into the cosiness of such a living intrudes a stranger who introduces himself to be Jose, a former classmate of Unni. The stranger has a certain intriguing motive behind his arrival and the mystery surrounding him and his identity forms the crux of the story. And things go topsy-turvy when Unni and his classmate and close pal Alex, who is now a doctor, discover to their horror that the stranger is that man whose arrival they have been dreading for a long time now.
