Oridam - 2004
(An abode)

The angst of a woman, who has to live as a sex worker in the city is the film’s content.

The girl, who has shifted to the city from hilly district of Kerala, after her parents are killed in a calamity, has no name. She has no particular identity that a name could offer. Instead, she has an attractive body. The body, which keeps her alive after she sells it to many who use her for their momentary pleasure. There are many like her. A middle aged woman whose body has been virtually butchered by the hungry men. A lady whose kid wonders when her mother's ‘night duty’ will end. Another woman who carries the ‘someone's gift’ in her womb. They call themselves ‘Street Walkers’.

Oridam is about her quest for an abode.
